The Good Doctor

Rating: 6

The Good Doctor is a good series presenting and exploring a functioning autist as a doctor.

Being autistic brings challenges with it, to the person and those they interact with.

The series is not focused only on the protagonist. It always follows two or three stories in an episode.

At times, it felt generic, and at times it felt absurd to me.

I enjoyed the thought provoking explorations and would have liked it better without the generic produced series themes of multiple main characters, relationships, and drama. The series stands out where it’s different, but not where it follows the typical produced series format.

So far, I have only watched well into season 1. 7 seasons have been released.
