Murder Drones is an exceptional cgi animation series.

The somewhat cutesy robots visuals mix with exceptional horror elements of visual directing and splatter (mechanical blood), but always with a quick shift back to humorous and low-stakes style.

In most series, I hate when good atmosphere gets broken through attempted humor and stylistic theme switches, but here in Murder Drones it works. It is of one connected style and theme, the changes never break atmosphere in a dissatisfying way, but shift it in a coherent way.

There’s a lot of humorous details embedded in the world and happenings. At the same time, the world and premise has dark themes that through the visual and shifting style never become overbearing but serve as a strong foundation to the story and progression.
