Portal Stories: VR Review

Fine for a free experience.
I was missing some improvements I was easily able to point out.

First off, performance was pretty bad for me.

Control wise, it was very unintuitive that the boxes do not have physics when you drop them. They just drop down, so you can not throw them.

When placing laser-redirection cubes, they rotate relative to your location, rather than absolutely to your controller rotation. This was very confusing, unintuitive and a hassle to control. Especially as you have to drop, teleport, pull to work around that.

It seems I’m too tall. In one level I spawned and was instantly shot at. In another, it was pretty obvious I was supposed to be in a safe-space, but was not, turrets shooting at me from a level up. By ducking slightly I was no longer shot at.

As a free experience in the portal universe, I can still give it a recommendation though.
The environment and setting is fitting.
Interestingly, the Unreal engine was used for this rather than Source. That is not really noticable negatively though.
