Treeker: The Lost Glasses Review
Recommended
I originally did not recommend this game. However, after revisiting it months later, while the game has its problems it can be an enjoyable experience.
The game is a first person platformer with small puzzle elements. Progression is very linear, so your exploration is not "open world", but exploring the world.
The platforming is at times very unforgiving, where I would have wished for a more forgiving placement of platforms. Especially with the long death animation (/fall). Respawn points are ok, although in combination with unforgiving jumps a little frustrating (because of backtracking).
The unobtrusive music appearing at times is good, providing a nice atmosphere. The visual style is unique.
The game sometimes feels "slow", and aerial control is not very high. The glasses do obstruct the field of view quiet a bit, although this is probably a deliberate artistic choice.
So, this first person platformer lets you explore an interesting world in a linear manner with small puzzle elements. It can be enjoyable.
