Curse of the Crescent Isle DX Review
Not Recommended
Short, very low-poly side-scrolling action platformer.
Although the idea and world is quite charming, to me the graphics were not. Music is repetitive. Level variety is fine. Controls are ok - acceleration is pretty low.
Expect a lot of level restarts - to figure out how to proceed, as you will often get stuck (moved a thing that you would have needed etc), or because the slow acceleration/bad hit detection ♥♥♥♥♥ you.
Although I did not really *enjoy* playing it, it did hook me to play through, enjoy parts of it, and hunt the achievments. Playing through the entire game a second time only takes an hour (at most).
I got used to the controls, and accepted I had to restart a lot - then it was ok.
(The password input is a pain in the arse btw; up & down to go through the alphabet, backspace and enter…)
