Great game.
Free 2 play, relatively expensive unlocks, which are also unlockable through playtime and missions (play specific modes, mercs, classes). The unlockable loadout cards give you up to 3 stat boosts (faster reload, longer jumps, stronger abilities), and while their numbers can sound significant, they are not really noticable.

+ Spawn-wave system, for fair waiting times, and additional tactical options
+ Differing objectives per map and within a map
+ Very different types of classes to choose from ("mercenaries")
