Overwatch® 2 Review
Recommended
Overwatch is a class-based team shooter. Great tech, gameplay, and lore. Noisy, overwhelming menus and content continuously promoting events, battle pass, and progression.
+ great tech (fast load times, crazy amount of settings, customizable game modes)
+ very good core gameplay
+ great lore with numerous animated shorts in cgi and animed images
+ huge amount of content (various levels and modes and queues, custom modes, events, PvE modes)
* free to play; apart from locked heroes no gameplay disadvantage when not spending money
* diverse set of heroes; some with strong counters; you can switch in-round
* ultimate abilities often are fight-deciding
* various modes with auto-matchmaking
* PvE modes are simple, enemy-waves gameplay mixed with story (boring to me)
- noisy, overwhelming menus and content
- continuously promoting and pushing events, battle-pass, progression
According to my Battle.net profile I've played 360 hours before it came to Steam, and must have been mostly in Overwach 1.
It's free, so if you're somewhat interested, definitely give it a try.
