Dishonored Review
Not Recommended
Playing the game, it felt like I had to follow a rubber-band. For my taste too restrictive and too many cutscenes pulling me out of the game, out of control. In the first part of the game I already hit an invisible wall (in a dialog with a woman and girl, the invisible block was right in front of them - not on a far edge of the level).
Playing on I felt like I got hammered with information - new powers and story blocks. It became too much.
I enjoyed the gameplay of controlling the avatar (control, weapons and abilities).
I hated that I felt I had to collect a ton in various places to get more powerful. It felt like I had to play their game rather than mine. Again, following a rubber-band rather than being in control. And if you leave that stuff out, you will not get powerful, right? And in the end be too weak to proceed. That was my guess at least.
I am not sure how influential killing actually is in terms of the following missions getting more pested and guarded. But in the second mission I already felt like I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ myself over.
In the end, I could have seen this work and be a lot of fun. But sadly, it was not.
