Asterix & Obelix Slap Them All! Review
Not Recommended
Not a good game. Bad combat mechanic and overall bad game design. Very basic. Combat comes down to stun-locking enemies - with the danger of getting stun-locked yourself.
* Simple brawler with unforgiving combat and narrow viable strategies
* 6 h playthrough
* No dialog voicing - only some character sound snippets
* Standard well-known Asterix & Obelix stories - in pretty basic story-telling
* Combat is mainly about positioning and strategic handling of varying enemy characters and masses
- [Pointless] Coin drops and collecting and combo counter as driving score mechanics
- Danger of getting stun-locked until death from a single hit onwards
- At times severely limited play-space - especially detrimental in combination with large-distance-knockback-cascades and border/corner-bouncing-off
- While I got through, medium difficulty felt quite hard, and not accessible
