Kingdom Under Fire 2 Review

Not Recommended

I haven’t played much of this game, but that is because the start did not hook me, was not fun, and had issues and stuff I did not like.

The tutorial ended up misplacing me between two invisible walls making it impossible to progress. Before that it was slow and gameplay was continuously interrupted with cutscenes. The cutscenes themselves had inconsistencies. So I really did not want to go through that again and skipped the rest of the tutorial.

The keyboard controls are pretty bad, and switching to a gamepad was not possible even when the gameplay seemed to be best fit for that - at least with very few abilities unlocked yet.

After the tutorial the game is no challenge, and a lot of walking from person to person, talking to them or spamming through their unvoiced dialog. No fun, no hook into the game, no interesting gameplay. An annoying grind. The character felt overpowered, hit registration and the enemies laggy, very delayed, and very passive, uninteresting enemies.

For a pretty new game and from the trailer I expected the graphics to be better. Visual effects seemed pretty standard/mediocre as well. Not much to say about about sound given how little I have played.
