The Irregular at Magic High School

Has very good and rolling-eyes bad parts to it.

The bad: Harem trope, sibling-love trope, unnecessary sexualization.

I was skeptical about the overpowered character trope at first, which often falls into an uninteresting trope - but not in this case.

Characters are interesting, the directing is good enough to drive interest and resolutions, good action, interesting world.

The side-story spinoff season of 2021 is bad. The movie is mostly worthwhile, but just more of the same, and by that point uninteresting - not reaching good.
