What a Community News System should have

A wishlist of features a news system for a community site should have:

Standard news, news categories, news images and the other standard things.

A differentiation between news/articles and shortnews, where you pretty much only post a link, with a short comment. (So for example it does not take as much space through a news category image.)

An other idea: not only a comment system, but kind of an (versioned) opinion system, where you could post your opinion about products, games, actions… This could be associated with other product information systems or the like.
