Windows IRC clients

Because of a HDD problem my KVIRC somehow lost all its settings. So I, because I wanted to do that anyway again, set out to check for other IRC clients.

The results:

X-Chat-WDK

X-Chats licensing sucks, for the/a windows version at least. X-Chat-WDK handles that and extends OSS X-Chats source code with patches so it can be compiled for Windows.

KvIRC

Rather complex and powerful.

Smuxi

Client-Server-Model for just the client (like irssi). Doesn’t seem polished UI-wise though.

Command-line app.
